After high school, I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. I was stationed in Germany and had an opportunity to travel to Turkey, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, Amsterdam, and, at that time, East and West Berlin. While serving in the military, I attended classes in the evening. After four years active duty enlistment I attended college full time. I completed my Bachelors Degree in Accounting at Walsh College in Troy, Michigan and went on to become a Certified Public Accountant. After the arrival of my three beautiful boys, I decided to go back to school and pursue a career in teaching. I had always enjoyed training and teaching. I earned my Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from Wayne State University. I began teaching in Southfield Public Schools in 2004 and came to Clarkston August 2009. I taught business and health for five years at Renaissance High School. I went on to further my education at Oakland University receiving my Education Specialist degree in August 2016. I am fortunate to be the director at Renaissance, I truly enjoy working with students from diverse backgrounds.
